My Attempt at "blogging"

1. This is difficult.
My first attempt at a blog was for a group of friends. Every month we would all hit up a new and unique restaurant around the Houston Area. We called it the World Tour of Dinners. I thought it (the blog) would be a cool place to put up articles of local restaurants that we might want to try, share some pictures of our adventures and just have fun with it. At first, it was fun...but it faded over time. As time progressed I just did not update the site. Also, everybody was busy and we were unable to get together. Things fell apart.

So, attempt number 2. I had this idea of just writing and sharing things that I see, experience and read and what I've Learned from these experiences. My goal is just to have a light-hearted blog where I can post some humorous things that I have experienced.

In the future, I hope to write about many things. Currently, I am largely into movies, music and certain popular sports. In roughly two months that will probably change. My wife will give birth to our first child. This will no doubt provide unending material to write about. I read some article that one thing parents can do to capture certain moments of their child is to write down what they say. Its a pretty ingenious idea. How many times have you gone to a friend's or parent's or relative's house and they want to tell you the funny thing that their nephew/grandchild/child said today? Soon over time...those memories can fade and you just can't remember exactly what they said. I hope to write things down like that. Maybe these blog entries will help me become a better writer. A more frequent writer. Being a man of numbers (accounting), writing has never been a strong suite of mine. This will be useful practice. Maybe I can become proficient enough to write a script and get rich! Or not. I am getting ahead of myself. This is just the beginning.

I hope this blog can be a good way to share thoughts and pictures to family and friends who want to know how my family and I are doing, as well.
